Foot care for the man in 10 steps
June 29, 2016
Any man can again show in 10 easy steps through a home pedicure itself feet, make sexy and attractive. Because especially in the summer is impossible to escape barefoot. Vacation or sports such as beach volleyball, kite surfing, or a romantic stroll along the surf, they all en archives force it. The ladies are heartless and honest about dirty feet: they have been since the extinction of the Neanderthals a bigger letdown than bad breath or body odor. Nobody wants to feel sanding rough, calloused feet or scratched be long, hard, zombie toenails. A regular home pedicure is simply a must.
Here follows an explanation of the individual steps. Watch sports during treatment is optional but can enhance the experience.
Step 1: The footbath
Fill a basin or bucket with warm water. The water level reaches the ankles. Let the feet a good soak for 10 minutes. Something to add to the water but do not. With only hot water proceed, nothing wrong. A handful of Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) can be added for example (note: do take the cheaper various bath salts). This has an antibacterial effect and detoxifying. To benefit from it, the feet must still be soaked longer.
Another alternative is a foot bath with black tea. This helps prevent foot odor due to the astringency of the tannins. Put beforehand tea with 4 or 5 bags of black tea and leave to infuse good so loose tannins. This can then be added to the water tub. The feet may become discolored by the tea. Therefore it may sometimes be necessary to rinse the feet. The primary objective of the foot is, in fact, to soften the skin and nails for the future edits. Additions are extra.
Step 2: Filing the bottom of the foot
The next step is to data (with policy) from the bottom of the feet (toes including bottom). With system means that the archive is not the same as with a belt edit the bottom of a stuck door. Feet that bleed all be addressed tentative hurt and the owner ends already stumbling in the worst case scenario in the emergency department. When the feet are very rough and calloused, more pedicure innings to get the feet slippery. Patience is a virtue. Razors or blades are taboo.
Each foot file has its application so requires the use of a pumice stone a still wet foot. It often takes care of itself. There are several files in circulation feet, especially for men. For example, metal grating, rough “sandpaper” files, and records with the diamond share in many variations from coarse to fine. A two-sided file has a rough and less rough side. A sound record is worth his investment (in terms of time, life and effort). A file must be well in hand, are sturdy and can easily be washed (sanitized). It calluses must tackle significant, without injuring. It is useful to have different filing rates for specific purposes (fine/coarse) in the toolbox stock. It is impossible to do all the chores with the only one-foot file. Who can not bring patience to wait long for callus-free feet can be a professional – i.e., a qualified chiropodist – consider.
Step 3: Wipe dry and nails clean
Toes and nails can be brushed after step 2 with a nail brush or a toothbrush. A toothbrush (it is needless to mention that it is used exclusively for the feet?) Has fine hairs and sometimes better at dirt can get under the nails. Brush over the entire toe around so that the cuticles are also included. As the first single sheets are removed. Again to proceed with caution. They are the toenails, not the wheels of a car or a shirt collar. When dry cuticles can all be pushed back gently.
Once the feet are lost, it is time to clean the nails with a nail cleaner. Some nail clippers have a small metal file. Which is great as a nail custodian, but may be too small for large hands to hold good. In emergencies can clean a toothpick under the nail or a larger metal nail file. The nail cleaner goes at each nail always in one direction under the nail through. Keep the file flat (flat), or may deviate from the nail on the length of the nail bed and catch as more dirt. Dirt under toenails can cause smelly feet.
Step 4: Wash with soap and dry
Nails are porous, so they absorb moisture. The downside is that they can dry out. Choose a moisturizing soap which does not dry out the nails, such as soaps with glycerin or vegetable oil or a milk soap. Such soaps will contribute just fought with nails and does not dry out too much the feet and nails. Avoid soaps with the desiccant ingredient sodium lauryl sulfate. Dehydration causes a variety of foot problems such as hang nails (hardened pieces of skin around the nail), itching and even cracked heels in combination with calluses. Rinse with clean water to remove soap scum!
Step 5: Cut the toenails
Everyone has developed his favorite way of cutting, such as the center or right from the corner. Guidance is not too short (cut about every week), it’s best to keep a small white edge up to the brink of each toe. The wrong cutting corners do ingrown nails on hand. The angles can be filed if necessary (rounded). It is important not at once to cut the nail, but always retrieve small pieces away. Thus, it is prevented that too much is trimmed away. It’s not a rush job. Athletes such as hockey or basketball players will want to cut their toenails regularly, because long nails are annoying in sports-related nail trauma, causing risk of infection lurks
There are all kinds of toenail clippers available, such as the old cutters and modern “scoops” especially for men, even with a collector for nail clippings. This prevents jumping around nail clippings and an angry partner who stood on the clipped nails. Cut with pliers which are meant for hanging nails may be too intense for the nail plates. A pin is made up of nail plates, comparable to a sheet of plywood. The wrong tool causes splintering and fraying.
Step 6: Toenails filing
With a nail file, the edges of the just-cut toenails with a few turns can be made smooth. Loose strokes and jagged edges are removed. The filing is done in one direction. Cardboard nail files can not be washed and are more susceptible to bacteria. A ceramic or glass file is an excellent alternative. A metal file may be too harsh and wrong for the nail plates. It can serve as a nail custodian. Another advantage to this fine-tuning is that the socks last longer.
Step 7: Cuticle Oil applied on the nail
Cuticle Oil (or cream) is the cuticles (the outline of each nail, the U) and gentle care of them. It helps to get dry and brittle nails again. Cuticle Oil is mostly made up of all kinds of oils, each with its molecular structure. That structure has an impact on how deep one particular oil in the nail bed can penetrate. As jojoba oil can genuinely withdraw the nail bed or almond oil. The addition of citrus facilitates the uptake of the oil. Cuticle oil will ensure that the periphery of the pin remains smooth. The road biting loose sheets, the whole thing just makes things worse because the cause is not addressed: drought. In fact, saliva makes the cuticles even drier.
Step 8: Bucks leg for the cuticle
Skin that grows over the nail belt by the half-moons, – the bottom of the U – the pin protects against invading bacteria. It is, therefore, important to push back the sheet carefully there and remove excess skin. It is never clipped or cut. If it feels sore, it is advisable to step 8 still skipping. A cuticle pusher to push back the cuticle at the Crescent. A cuticle pusher is made of synthetic material or metal (in the form of the leg of a goat indeed). Often a leg bucks a 2 in 1 article. One side is the goat’s leg, and the other end is flat and thin to scrape or gouge. In a 2 in 1 is the leg cuticles pushed back and the nail is gone with the flat side and with a scraping motion removed the sheets / scraped away. There are also as stated skin gouges on the market. It requires fine motor skills and knowledge. They can injure quickly and are therefore not recommended. They are recognizable by the V tip, which is, in fact, a sharp knife. The toes and around the nails will bleed easily. A tool called a gouge hear more at home with wood and must remain there.
Scraping can with a nail cleaner. With the nail cleaner to the edges (U) checked and sheets carefully removed. The cleaner pinpoint ever clean sweep. It sometimes fails to remove all the clothes or to push back correctly the cuticle; this requires more turns. The skin on the crescent is sensitive, go with policy work.
Step 9: Anointing with foot cream
There are good, fat foot creams and gorges ointment on the market. Who has no cream or lotion available, can olive oil, coconut oil use and so on. This is best just before bed because anointed feet are smooth.
Step 10: Sleeping with socks
After anointing the feet, socks can be attracted. This promotes the absorption of the cream and ensures that the sheets do not come into contact with the cream. It is best to wear cotton socks. Why? Cotton breathes, synthetic socks make your feet sweat and hot feet.
